If the insurance company asks you to take your car to a particular body shop for an estimate, you only have to take it there to get the estimate. You do not have to have it repaired there. Once you have the estimate take the it to the paint & body shop of your choice. Or you may leave your car with us and ask the insurance company to inspect it at Longhorn Collision Center. Your insurance company cannot require you to have the repairs made a specified shop.
• You are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.

• Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. If you're not sure why one estimate is different from another, please ask us.
• Don't be surprised if the insurance estimate is lower than the body shop's estimate. Insurance companies often specify used parts or use other techniques to keep the estimate low. They know that many people will choose to take the money instead of having their vehicle repaired. Don't worry. If additional work is needed to complete the repair of your vehicle, we will go back to the insurance company for the difference.
• Choose a collision repair facility that has computerized unibody and frame repair equipment and has the technicians certified to use it.
• Choose a body that prefers to use original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) replacement parts.
• Ask if the shop offers a repair warranty.
